Job Description:
Candidate:
The candidate should possess extensive experience in GUI design, integration and modification of existing software platforms, experience working with games and simulations, creating and using APIs, wireless communications, and high-speed data acquisition including video capture. The ideal candidate is a team player with a broad range of skills in the fields of image processing, computer vision, digital photograph, human computer interaction and web development.
This candidate should have:
- 2+ years experience in successfully performing the job responsibilities.
- Strong work ethic with entrepreneurial attitude for start-up venture.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal English language communication skills.
- Residence in the Reno, NV work area.
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Responsibilities: The following are key capabilities of this candidate:
- Work with in eye-com staff and customers to define project specifications for future software applications.
- Create stable, attractive, intuitive user interfaces for a large variety of applications including real time dashboard applications to monitor high-speed data collection.
- Construct and maintain computers and software for coordinating high speed data acquisition from multiple sources including streaming video and analog sensors
- Develop software and protocols for transmitting and receiving data using standard wired and wireless methods including USB and Bluetooth.
- Develop ways to integrate input signals from experimental computer peripherals into existing software applications.
- Create software demos to showcase the capabilities of new technologies.
Key Technical Skills Required include but not limited to:
* Strong programming skills in C++ and C#, experience with visual studio 2005 or later
* Good knowledge of performance and memory profiling, unit testing, and version control
* Experience with video capture and other high speed data acquisition
