Job Description:
Candidate:
The candidate should possess extensive experience in computer vision, image processing, digital photography, analysis of algorithms, and real time computing with a strong background in mathematics and statistics. The ideal candidate is a team player with experience collecting and analyzing experimental data and generating robust algorithms based on empirical measurements. The candidate should have:
• 3+ years experience in successfully performing the job responsibilities.
• Strong work ethic with entrepreneurial attitude for start-up venture.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal English language communication skills.
• Proven experience in developing commercially tested products.
• Residence in or willing to relocate to the Reno, NV work area.
• BS or MS Engineering degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
Responsibilities: The following are key capabilities of this candidate:
- Work to develop real-time eye tracking algorithms and software for the mobile, head mounted, eye-com device
- Develop calibration algorithms to correct for sensor noise, lens distortion and other environmental factors
- Develop methods of actuating computerized devices based on head and eye movement for use in applications such as assistive communication and electronic gaming
- Develop methods of integrating eye-tracking technologies into real world scenarios, including determining the target and direction of a subjects gaze, detecting fatigue, or evaluating operator performance
- Assist in the development of diagnostic algorithms for detecting medical conditions by identifying oculometric irregularities
Key Technical Skills Required include but not limited to:
- Strong programming skills, preferably in C++ or C#, but others such as matlab, python or java is acceptable
- Knowledge of data classification, including statistical methods and machine learning
- Strong math skills including knowledge of coordinate projections, and transformations
